Description
Dewar’s 12 is “double aged”. After maturation and blending it then spends 6 months and more, in ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso Sherry oak barrels to properly marry the blend together.
The nose
A rich fruity creamy malt. Rather floral, and quite sweet with notes of toasted barley, almond and a tinge of honey.
The palate
The palate is well balanced with notes of barley malt, buttered toast, with a touch of honey and some aniseed spiciness.
The finish
A touch of smoke lingers, alongside plenty of thick malt and sweetness.
